Ha, Ad, you're showing more restraint than I could! I finished of an ENTIRE bag of starburst Jellybeans in one sitting. Yes. Sad. I had been without candy/sugar for over 2 months. I caved! lol

Hmmm... and 3 pounds gained since last month. It doesn't make sense. In fact, I'm wearing jeans that used to be too small! I think the load is just shifting. Urg. My daughter, on the other hand, has lost 19 pounds since February. She rides her bike daily and is looking ridiculously fit. Shouldn't I be inspired?

Maybe you are gaining muscle? As long as the pants fit, that's a great sign! lol I'm down to 153-4 and I'm trying to get to 150. Been running when my knees will allow me, about 5 miles and working on the elliptical. Yard work is helping burn calories too! lol

I agree, as long as the clothes fit....lol This used to be my only way to tell if I'd gained weight, since I didn't even own a scale for a long long time.
I've cut cookies and gummy bears, and I'm trying to walk / exercise more. So far so good!

I am down to 144, although I go between 140- and 150 every month. I work out a lot. 8-12 hours a week. I feel fit, and the clothes fit, but I am hungry all the time, and tired all the time.

I need more exercise and less sugar. But not riding is really a setback for me. I'm just not as active and I can feel my midsection going all blurry. I love the muscle not fat theory about my 3 pounds, but it can't be true. Sigh...

Slippery slope, Lisa! Time for cookies, candy and ice cream! Lots of bread and pasta too!
I've lost 4 pounds in the 3 weeks I was in France...it's so weird, because I was eating a lot, lots of bread and cheeses and dessert and an "apéritif" (or 2!) pretty much every day, I really should have GAINED at least 4 to 5 pounds. It's so weird. It happens every time. I do walk a lot there, and it's hilly, but this year with my foot I didn't do a 4th of the hiking I usually do...I am stumped. But pleased!
Ann, you should try Pilates for that "blurry" midsection. It works wonders!

Well, my scale is broken. No joke! And I don't want to know anyway. What the heck!? I'm just getting mushier all the time. I used to eat with impunity, but my once brilliant metabolism seems to be slowing down.
I can avoid junk food. That's not hard for me. But I am getting no exercise, and I am not motivated to eat any more salad. (Remind me of this in February when I'm dying for fresh tomatoes!)
Help!
