Why did you name ur horse(s) what you named them?

Flynn came with a name that was about horrible, so he begged me to change it. It wasn't his original name anyway (that is unknown). Much as I've been told that it's bad luck to change a horses name, I think in some cases it is worst luck not to. Anyway, I was quite a fan of Errol Flynn at the time and my Flynn agreed it was a suitable name. It fit too, my Flynn has been quite the lady's man in his time.

Don't know what Zen's barn name was, but he came with BJK's Zentetta. He just wasn't a BJ, so I called him Zen until something else seemed better. Yup, Zen stuck, even though his sire was the original Zen. Who I finally found some pictures of. ;D

Guy came from an auction with no name and at the time registered name unknown, but Guy fit him from the get go.

Truth came with his name. his jc name is The Icy Truth. I love his name. Too many tbs get REALLY awful names. His sire was Icy Groom, dam Brutal Truth. thank god they didn't name him Brutal Groom He gets other names too -- when he's particularly ornery he gets The Rotten Truth (there's actually a movie by that name. it's about garbage he also gets Truthie, Twoof, and Fartsky.

Ollie came with Oliver. Lynn didn't know who he was. She tried to read his tattoo, but it's too faded. I tried also, but have the same problem. I call him Oll or Olsie. he's such a sweetie. ;D ;D

I hear you Truth, Zen got saddled with the awful name, Guy's registered name turned out cool. Freezout.
BTW Zen would have been Shrek had those movies been out when I got him. He so is Shrek.

Didn't think much of Pearlettie, her racing name and she is such a sweet natured girl that we went with Angel.

Zephyr's JC name is "Zigzag Dan" his dam is Northern Danzig. When I got him I liked the name Zephyr and lengthened his name to "Zigzag Dan-cin' Zephyr". His barn name is just Zephyr or Zeffie, but I use the lengthened version for shows and such. I never got him re-registered as that though so he is still registered "Zigzag Dan" .

Buddy is Sweet Exception and that is his registered name. I guess he has always been my Sweet Exception Most of the time I call him Beast, I think Buddy is an overused name. Zena is Dolce. She came as Impossible Figure but that just didnt grow on me. I want all of my horses to have names that tie together. I was going to go with Sweet something but Dulce means sweet in spanish and italian, I just changed the u to an o.
