Okay...so this is my first visit and I posted an add for a horse.
My name is Terri and I am from Campton, New Hampshire. I run a local pony club group and that is how I came to be the owner of "Mora" a 6 year old OTTB. She is looking for a new home as I just don't have a safe place to keep her while my daughter rides.
I have 2 kids (11 and 12), 2 bunnies, 1 golden retriever, 2 Welsh ponies, a quarter horse and now owner of one not-so-confident thoroughbred. Oh yeah...and a husband.

Hi Terri! I just posted about your OTTB mare on the other forum - welcome to the club! Even if you give your mare away, you should still post here...we have lots of fun. Your place sounds like mine - three kids, four horses, four bunnies, four cats and a black lab! hahaha I used to live in Massachusetts and my grandparents were in Kittery, Maine, - just north of Portsmouth, NH, so I was always hanging around your area. My 11-year-old daughter is in Pony Club too and she just outgrew our Welsh pony and is now riding a grade pony that's half Morgan, half unknown... but he's a peach. ANyway, good luck placing the nice TB mare... I'm sure some confident young rider will like the challenge of a young thoroughbred!

Hello, I found this site while trying to figure out how to read the lip tattoo on my new horse. He's a 6yo OTTB, racing name was Courting Concorde. The previous owner had named him Dunkin though. I'm fairly new to horses however my wife has owned a TB before. I've ridden and taken lessons so I'm fortunately not a complete beginner (only a real beginner at cleaning his pigpen). So far there is a wealth of information that I still need to read through. We moved from San Diego to SE Connecticut last year which enabled us to get into a house with some room for the horses. nick The pony in the picture is my daughter's, Chloe.

Hi everyone, Thought it might be time to create a login and say "hi" since my husband has turned me into a lurker. I'm Makoti's (Nick's) wife Kristy, otherwise known as "Gem" online. When I'm not out taking care of the horses I'm usually reading message boards, somehow I turned into a junkie =P Nice to meet you all.

Welcome, Kristy! I'm pretty new here also. Everyone is VERY helpful, and I've learned (or re-learned) a lot just hanging around. I saw the pics of your hubbys horse, and daughter's pony. Do you have one as well?

Gem's horse is still in planning stages, I'm expecting after winter and things settle down as we just got Dunkin a couple weeks ago. Plus, the loft isn't quite stocked for the two we have for winter Getting there though. nick

Hi Cam, I had an ex show TB about 10 years ago. We're going to work on getting a new stall ready this winter, then with luck if the perfect horse comes along we'll be ready in the spring/summer. I told my dad the one thing on my Christmas list were stall mats hehe.

Ok, I'm new. I have two OTTB, purchased last September at the Fairmount paddock sale. They are Flash Your Cash, my 6 yo dark bay gelding and Shari Lee my 5 yo grey mare. They are both absolutely beautiful, if I say so myself. Flash is really my baby, we've bonded. He follows me around the barn like a giant (16.3hh) puppy. Shari, I got for my mom, who's always been partial to greys. We also have a 5 yo palomino QH, April, who gave birth to a beautiful chesnut QH filly on Mother's Day of this year, her name is Bella. And then we have the old grade mare, Sugar, that the kids ride (probably our best investment to date; if you can't ride her, you should stick to the carousel).
I'm 30 with three kids ranging in age from 3-13 and a very understanding husband. I've also been riding since before I could walk. My mom literally rode until she was so pregnant she couldn't climb on the back of her horse.
So, that's me. I've been reading some of the posts and I know how fond you all are of pics, so I'll try and post some of my equine angels soon.
