I live in the armpit of NY, known by everyone else as New Jersey. I'm also owned by Molly, my 18yo 16h appendix qh mare who i have had for almost 2 years now. She was a jumper in her previous life and has turned into a really nice trail horse and hopefully some dressage..Cherokee, my 12yo 16.2h OTTB gelding that came to me from our Moo (THANKS MOO!!) Who im hoping to show in dressage this coming year.. I love them both dearly, they have turned out to be the 2 most awesome mounts a girl could ask for. I also am owned by a 1 and a half year old Chocolate Lab Epcot :neens: (yes im a HUGE disney fanatic). I also have my own little side business, I make stall signs and quarter sheets (soon to be adding rump rugs to my site...im working on it ChrisandStar!!) You can check those out at www.highhopeshorses.comhmmm think that about sums it up

Heeeellloooooo... I'm "Jen" from the old board. Not hard to figure that out though. I'm almost 28 (eewww....do I have to get older??), I live in NE Ohio and am right in the heart of the snow belt. I am a fulltime Veterinary Assistant for a small animal doctor. On the side I retrain ex-racers and do consignment sales. I am owned by my grey 1997 model canadian TB mare "Addie" a.k.a. "Attitude Plus." As well as my 1998 model golden retriever mix "Jazz." Of course she begs to differ about being a "mix" or "mutt." She claims she's a full blooded Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. How's that for a mouth full?!?!

Hi I am Sue (sometimes SZQ) and I live in MI. I am a SysAdmin for a Utility company. I am a young 29ish mom of a daughter and her husband. I am trying to learn to event, since I have no clue. Ridden Western my whole life. And did not show horses as a kid. Just hung/worked at STB farms and rode trail for hours on end. I have 4 horses of my own. 2 OTTB and 2 Appys, with one Appy foal on the way. My two OTTB are Diego (John Henry's nephew) and Red (lot of War Admiral breeding), both purchased from the trainers listings on the MI Canter site. Had a 3rd OTTB (Native Dancer bred) purchased for my niece. He is now in SC on a dressage career. My 2 Appys are Shasta, my daughter's old 4-H mare that she has left on the farm(Tx racing bred Appy gd to Cricket Bars) and Flash (King bred retiree), saved him from auction sale for a kid's horse around the farm. I babysit a couple of Preg mares at my place that aren't mine, Paddy Poop and Lil Becky *16'2* compared to Big Becky the Belgium. In the house, of course my husband and I, we share with Murphy Brown our 14 year old Basset and Ziggy, 12 year old Amazon. Ziggy has concluded that he rules the home and all its occupants. Oh, almost forgot.... I hang w/LauraR ..... getting her back into horses. :loon:

I'm ZenRider here, I have two horses, first is Flynn my 27yo horse, who thinks he's 3, the goof. Not only is his breeding unknown, so is his breed. He is likely a Morgan or Tennessee Walker or some kind of mix of either, though not likely both. But who knows? The other horse I picked up at an unlikely auction to find a well bred Thoroughbred who never raced in Wyoming, IL. He's Zen, registered as BJK's Zentetta and he's 10yo(though not really until April). He was definitely trained to race though, not sure what happened, still think he was too clumbsy. May never know though. He is left lead challenged, though with my new shoer it's improving so much, I wonder why I ever used that other shoer. I also have a German Shepherd Dog, Winter, who will be 12yo this year. He was dumped by a barn I used to board at, they were going to take him to a shelter, but I took him. He was a bit thin when I got him, but not a problem now. OK and two Betta's and two Algae eaters too. As for me, I live up near Chicago and work for UPS delivering packages.

I'm Lee Ann (same as the old board). I'm from central Indiana, straight north of the Indianapolis city center. I run a barn (19 stalls which I try to keep at 15 horses). I train and coach primarily event people/horses, though I have done some forays into medium level dressage (through PSG on my chowderhead Hanovarian that I sold last year). I currently own 5 OTTB's,
Bug Eyed (Bugsy to you) a 7 year old firecracker of a chestnut mare that the goal is to get to Prelim this summer, Canter Michigan
Pilgrim's Zeal (Pilgrim) a 4 year old mare who's goal is to get going well enough to be sold this spring (and she's got a cute jump), Canter IL
Stalworthy (Stoli) a 10 year old gelding that I bought because he has really ugly ankles, was sound, and I was afraid he'd end up at the knackers. Something about his cute face made me go ahead and buy him. :neens: Canter OH
Wandrn Wille, (Willie) an 8 year old gelding that I think has unlimited potential, a brave disposition, and is a bit of quiet worrier. He loves to have the base of his ears rubbed, baby carrots, and to go for a gallop. Canter IL, via Susan.
Zokyman (Okey Dokey) AKA Icebreaker a 10 year old gelding. Another gamble, I bought him from Hoosier Park after he no-saled at the auction. A week later he fell through the ice on my pond (which is now fenced off) and crashed across the width of the pond breaking 1/2 inch thick ice and entire way and cutting his legs and bashing his knees. I'm waiting the second xrays on his knee to restart him this next week--he's sound, but there is still remodeling going on. He's an absolute sweetheart, so I hope he comes sound from this and is fine--he held up for 7 years of racing to damage himself in his first week of freedom! :bang:

I'm CatB. and live in Kansas. Married with 3 kids, two boys and one daughter. I'm a sales support/purchasing coordinater for a software company, which helps to support my horse habit. I own three QHs, Sass - chestnut mare; Tucker - seal brown gelding (TB just off his papers); Tawny - young palomino filly; and one fat PoNee - Sammy (looks like a mini Haflinger). I mostly trail ride and do arena stuff on Sass, dabble in dressage with Tucker, and will see with Tawny. I may look for a new prospect (exracer??), though - Tucker told me he doesn't want to be a dressage horse, he wants to try roping!? I've trained the PoNee to drive, since my daughter is not all that interested in riding at the moment, and he's a wee bit small for me. :' We recently purchased a horse facility and down the road I plan to operate a small-scale boarding/training barn. That is, if I'm not too old, decrepid, or broke by then.

I'm Niaru aka Claire, I live in Maine with a non-horsey (but very supportive) husband and 2 daughters, a 10 yo (Chloé)and 6 1/2 yo (Morgane), 2 mice (those little things are hardy!! - update, one just died) and a very gentle, timid but smart 3 yo apricot Std poodle, Stella. I just bought a 5 yo Tb mare at the track, "Charm". She really IS a charm, a sweetie, great to be around on the ground and very mellow to ride! I know someday she'll wake up... :smirk: but for now she's very willing and is learning tons! Such as, how to stand for me to mount, how to turn, how to halt, how to step over X-rails... ;D oh, maybe I should add that I'm French, in case someone wonders at my written english...

I am Tracy....now under my new alias. ;D I am currently a work slave for Ami and Mattie. Ami is a 13 yr old TB cross who is a former eventer and now my dressage mount (reluctantly..she would much rather jump). She is a wonderful teacher and has taught me many things..mostly to pay attention. LOL Mattie is my soon to be 7 yr old OTTB mare who I am also training (and I use that term loosely) in dressage. She is teaching me the art of relaxation...cause when I am tense she is tense and this does not make a pretty picture. I work as a vet tech in a small animal/exotic hospital and also work at the emergency vet clinic for the extra cash to afford Mattie. I guess that is it for me and the girls. ;D

Hello! I'm Ann.
I have one horse, a 19-year-old OTTB mare, Cypress Babe. She's the first horse I've had, and was given to me 6 years ago. Changed my life. I'm nuts about dressage, and have been lucky to have some good lessons. Cypress is about 16 HH, refined, and very dark smushed banana (okay, fadin' black).
I am married to a fabulous guy and have three very adorable daughters, ages 21, 20 and 18. By cool coincidence, one of them lives in Chicago and goes to school with Moo (whom you all know and love from this board!) and they even live in the same building. (Insert small world smiley face here! LOL)
We live with a harum-scarum English Setter (Lucy) and two lazy cats (Scout and Henry). I work part time in a really good public library, but since I will have three kids in college next year, I am looking for a full-time position. Or two.
