All the dragons were sitting respectfully around a small fish-bowl which was glowing green.
They nudged one another. The whisper sped around the circle. "It's Smaug". "Smaug himself?" "Spud?"
"Oof!" A dragon fell over, elbowed by another.
Smaug swam one last circuit of his bowl. The green glow dipped. Smaug raised to the surface.
"Our mission is to penetrate the caves of Gollum." It would be dangerous. It would be terrifying. They would reach the cold dark of the regions where formless, eyeless horrors dwell ....
"But in the dark and icey waters," said Sp... Smaug, "You will have ME to guide you ...."
They all contemplated the tiny fish ...
"Right," said Niaru. "Quite so," said Bara. They built a better fire under their cauldron.

Traveling down the Yellow Brick road they came across a Scared Crow. He was flitting around them as if trying to tell them something, the farther they walk down the YB road the more frantic the bird become. Finally Ann decided to say something "I think it's trying to tell us something" "Yes I agree" Suzie said. "But what ? " asked Deb. Terrie was searching through her bag, which seemed carry an awful lot of stuff, "Oh where is that translator" "Brooks have you got it in your bag ?" "Oh wait here it is, now little birdy say that again, please"
"oh chirp you must not go down this road the chirp, chirp lives down there, she is terrible, go back, go back" and off flew the bird.
"Well now what ?" with a smile asked...................................................

... the dragons.
Smaug thought for a moment, gently fanning his fins. The dragons held their breath - which was a good thing. Eventually, the bubbles started rising to the surface.
Uffda leaned forward. "I can translate," he said.
"He says - bubble, bubble, no - wait a minute."
"He says that there's a blue bird leading the humans astray down a lilo dirt road - no wait - a yellow .. no it's gone."
Smaug started bubbling frantically. Uffda switched down the fire power. "He says they're in danger, but Brooks has an Invisibility Cloak. He says, does anyone have any ant eggs? He says - bubble bubble..."
In another part of the jungle, Niaru and Bara tended their cauldron.
"...bubble, bubble toil and trouble," said one of them. In French.

"Run Toto, Run Toto," she yelled her sleep dreaming of witches and flying monkeys. She was lost once again, who will rescue her ?

Niaru and Bara peer into their cauldron. Niaru dips into it with a large spoon, sniffs it, blows on it gently, takes a sip, smiles and announces, "Soups on! Come and get it while it's hot!" Causing the group on the yellow path to pause and come running.
Deputy Dan rescues Toto in Brooks' dream. Where she wakes and questions, "Soup?" to a rush of Dragons wanting some soup. Leaving Smaug to levitate his bowl, grumbling that he hoped some blood worms or brine shrimp could be picked out of the soup for him.
Once the soup was served and everyone fed, Niaru and Bara peered into the bottom of the cauldron to read the herbs that had settled on the bottom.....

"A tad more coriander seeds?" asked Niaru anxiously.
"No, no - perfect!" said everyone. "Haute cuisine!"
Niaru sniffed. "I MEANT," she said, "for the reading."
She knew that the soup had tasted wonderful but she worried about the way Deputy Dan, Welkin and Zenrider were studying the dregs, shaking their heads.
"And?" asked Terrie, impatiently.
"It seems to me," said Deb, putting Toto off her lap, "that what we should do, is ........"

"No, now, Brooks," said Bara, taking her to one side. "It always gets a bit sticky towards the end, but we're trying to get to The Shire. We have to hang in here. Otherwise ....."
"AHA!" said Niaru, who had added a few more coriander seeds. They all looked at her.
"New Zealand!" she announced triumphantly. They all drooped. They knew that. And then :
"AIR NEW ZEALAND ANNOUNCES THE DEPARTURE OF FLIGHT 101 TO HOBBITON. THIS IS A CHARTER FLIGHT COMMISSIONED ON BEHALF OF THE EXRACERS."
The poor girl took a deep breath, switched on her mic and stopped shouting. "Would all passengers please embark and all critturs please form an orderly line at the cargo hold. Air New Zealand wishes you a pleasant flight." It was more the honeyed tones you would expect in an airport.
She flipped off her mic, kicked off her shoes, unpinned her hair and smiled at Uffda who, it seems, had missed the cargo hold.
