Oh wow ok, was reading the only thing I found was Wonder Dust, looks like you have to get that Granulex V from your vet?

You can get Granulex without a prescription - you can even order it through Amazon. Depending on how much proud flesh she has, you may want to have your vet debride the wound before you start treatment.

Yeah...Granulex you can order online... and yes...it depends on how much proud flesh she has. You may have to have the vet debride it first, but knowing you I doubt you let it get to that point.

I used Wonderdust on Jane's shoulder. It was nasty and in less than 2 days, it was almost gone. Then I used T-Zone which has cortisone in it to slow down the growth. Proud flesh is flesh that grows too fast so this stuff is great, plus it has all kinds of wonderful other things in it as well. You can't even tell Jane's shoulder was all messed up! ;D

i started noticing the proud flesh after using the vetercylin. so should i pick the scab off every day before using the wonderdust?

Just scrub well, don't go picking at the scab as she could kick you into the middle of next week if it starts hurting; gentle scrubbing is easier on you and the horse. Allow the washed area to dry before adding more wonder dust.

Updated: So, got a recent photo of it! Was using Wonder Dust, which was helping reduce it, but found a new product called Proudsoff, so am trying that. I really think it needs to be cut off, but can't get vet out to do it until Saturday, so here is the photo (the green stuff in the Proudsoff and the dark grey stuff is the residue from the Wonder Dust)

Poor baby, I can only imagine how much it must hurt for her to move that foot and stretch the skin. On the other hand, she appears to have good looking hooves, what I can see of them.

Good thing is she isn't sore anymore on that, i think that medicine is keeping it soft enough, oh man you should have seen how badly she tore off that foot when she got cast! Vet here on Sat, so I'll just have her cut the rest of it off!
