This was an interesting read for me. I've always had a tendency to lean forward (see my user pic) despite the fact that I grew up also riding western. I always did really well in equitation classes when I was younger, but those days are LONG (and probably forever) gone. Now I've got back issues, which cause me to become tense in my back, so this is something I will probably always be working on.

The final rider of the four - Zazou Hoffman - won the Maclay last year. She'd been knocking on the door for some time. Nice story, too... hard worker, lots of catch-riding, no big bucks for a ton of horses. Moved from CA to VT to live with her trainer (Missy Clark) and work for the experience.

Those are the stories I love to hear. It just seems to mean more when one works for something vs. being able to buy the best of everything.
