I usually ask you'all at about this time of year - who do you like? I like Bluegrass Cat, but he didn't do that well on Saturday. Lots of buzz about Lawyer Ron and Brother Derek too. Boy, I wish I could go and watch but it is so outrageously expensive. We'll just have to brew up some Mint Juleps, put on a fancy hat and watch it on TV

Brother Derek's been my pick since last year. Sadly, I had my tickets taken away, so I won't be able to attend this year, nor will I ever be able to buy tickets directly from them. All for trying to sell a few that I had no one in family or friends to use and nothing in writing from them ever stating that your couldn't resell. Sigh . . . left a rather nasty taste in my mouth for the Derby.

I like Bluegrass Cat and A.P. Warrior.........but with the derby weeks away, anything can happen. Have to wait and see what the Bluegrass Stakes and the Wood Memorial produce.

Wow ... I hate that I don't have TVG this year. I feel so out of the Derby loop. I have to say that I'd love to see a Point Given baby do well (this is his first crop of three year olds, isn't it). I loved that big red boy. I also like Lawyer Ron, but then again, since I'm a lawyer it seems like I *should* like him. I also like Barbaro.

Yes, Barbaro.
Those folks down at Three Chimneys standing Dynaforjer had quite a Saturday at the races. Won the Mothergoose with a filly out of Dynaformer and the Florida Derby with Barbero. Dynaformer's the only stallion they dont ride. Just too much horse for anyone (so I am told by the pros) at 1600 lbs and 17h.

I normally like who ever wins the Wood Memorial LOL although last year I had to go with Buzzard's Bay for the family connection Not overly scientific, but works for me!

I'll drink tot he mint juleps - haven't paid much attention to who's slated to run, guess I better, but I will most likely see a gorgeous chestnut that grabs my attention and hope he wins!

It will be interesting to see what unfolds today; with the main track at Aqueduct being sloppy for the Wood.

Ahhh! I missed it! Good thing for the internet. Boy that Jazil was flying at the end! www.nyra.com/Aqueduct/video.asp?track=A#Actually I liked that Grey, Too Much Bling in the Bay Shore Stakes. Common, we all know greys love to get muddy. That said, I've largely taken to going with the Illinois Derby winner for the KD.
