You have bought yourself a real athlete. She seems to have the "human-shaped-eye". My mare has that also. They tend to be very smart and very willing. I think the two of you are going to do great together. I am very happy to see her turned out. I bet she cannot believe her good fortune. She is about to start on a new and wonderful adventure.
Do take note of her very massive wither structure. That provides great muscle attachments for an athlete, but you will have to choose a saddle carefully. With withers like that, lead changes are going to be child's play. Linda

Sorry :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha: Went off on a tangent there! You know that I undeniably adore your new horse Charm! Man! She is tucked!! I forgot maybe that they look like that....and I try to get rid of withers and add flabby muscles...ug.
She is a beauty and I can't wait to hear more and more updates. How are you diggin her personality? Manners? Ah....I know it takes so long to really truly bond with them but its those incremental moments that mean so much and stand out so much later in our memory. Enjoy!!!!

Thanks guys... ;D You know, Linda, you are right about the saddle. My saddle fit Rita perfectly from the first day. When I tried it on Charm, after walking her a bit (well, she was jiggin and boinking, too  ) the saddle was sliding back big time... I guess Lisann (or was it LeeAnn) was right about the "wasp-waisted" thingy...I'm hoping that when she gains weight and muscles up the saddle will fit better. In the meantime, she'll need a breastplate. I ordered one at State Line tack, with a running attachement *just in case*

Her original photo didn't do her justice...she is a fabulous, athletic mare! I adore that blaze - what character it gives her face! You are a good judge of conformation cause you picked yourself a good looking horse with GREAT potential for the kind of riding you like to do....dashing cross country and jumping them BIG jumps! hahaha

Now we can't use our favorite "Johnnie Word?" Or was that our favorite "ClaireLV" word..... Gonna have to be careful about that cause I have been using that word EXTENSIVELY.

She's even prettier in the new pics! I bet she's an awesome mover under saddle. She certainly has an athletic look about her! You have an excellent eye for horses, Niaru.

Wow Niaru, love her conformation. Am thinking you will have some saddle fit woes! Congrats on your new gal. After the saddle fit issues I went through with Eagle, looking at her back you'll probably have good success with the Wintec Isabel but since you ride jumpers, can't help as have never had success in fitting him in an all-purpose/jumping saddle.
