It's STILL snowing here like crazy. We're up to TWO FEET! This is SO cool! I love it. I've shoveled my LOOONG driveway about ten times trying to keep it open, but I don't care. It's still fun for now. I hope they close my work tomorrow. I really don't want to go.

WOW 2 FEET. All we got was an inch or two Friday. OK, the barn got more and that is drifting like crazy. Too many open farm fields with little wind break, so it's piling up in the farm driveway and by the doors of course. We have had something like 20 or 30 mph winds or worst. Good thing I have a 4X4 to navigate the driveway. Needless to say, the boys were in, so I turned them out in the indoor arena and made some attempts at pics with the digital. Which I might just share, cause I can. They really loved the water I heated up for them.

Mainly, I took some piccies cause I'm the only person at my work who lives out in the country, OR who has a long driveway, OR who has to shovel anything so I took the piccies so I could email them to my MORON boss in the morning to prove I can't get to work...they are funny! They exaggerate the amount of snow there is by taking them from a low angle. hehehe But we really did get two feet, and the snow banks on the side of my drive are now about four feet high!

I wanted to take some pictures outside the barn, but it was just too darn windy, so I wimped out.

I think we are supposed to go but I cannot get out due to drifts and my car, although a Mazda 626 with f-wheel drive, I am not going to chance it, especially with the drivers who don't take into consideration the conditions. I mean, I am from NE Ohio originally and we knew how to drive, but Columbus drivers? Too many get weird!

Two FEET? Holy shenanigans!!! And you're shovelling your driveway? :loon:
We still only have a little over an inch total, but only about a quarter of an inch is snow. The rest, solid ice. I can't even let the horses with shoes out. I tried for a moment but the plits demon stration freaked me out and so back inside they went....ug.

..and we got another 8 inches overnight. My WHOLE driveway is back to unshoveled. Oh well, I loff it . I know Katie, I used to live in Syracuse NY, so I know what REAL snow is...but since I moved to Ohio in 1972.... (OMG I'm old) we don't see this kind of snow often. And if it closes my work.... I'M A HAPPY CAMPER. I'm gonna have to let the boyz outside today though, cause they are acting like they are on fire inside the barn. I have to check and make sure none of the drifts have made the fences low enough to WALK OVER....I've seen THAT happen when I lived in NY....

Well, I am just sick of all the white :curse:!!!!!!!!! I moved the blasted stuff for 2 1/2 hours again yesterday, and finally got enough moved about that I can drive out of the yard with something smaller than the John Deere. Our storm never happened, weather liar says now intermittant snow showers?!?!?! well it IS snowing again and the wind is NASTY........so, guess I will be pushing snow again!!!!
smay - I did have drifts a couple of winters ago so high that Adventure Horse walked out over the fence.

:horsie: Even though I feel sorry for all you easterners buried under snow, I kinda wish we had that here... we did finally, after 135 days, get a decent rainfall. almost 2 inches here... but the snow would be sooooooo good for our pastures and hayfields.... sigh....
