Little cutie for sale in Kentucky - a 2-year-old palomino Morgan filly only 14.2 hands.... bred for sporthorse...CAN I PLUUUEESE BUY HER for my daughter to pony club with? She's supposedly well started and very level headed and sweet. I know I know, a filly would be a dumb thing to buy untrained for Pony Club...but isn't she the CUTEST PONY IN THE WORLD??

I bet she ends up 15 hands or pretty close to. Something in her expression reminds me of Flynn, so though she's probably sweet and level headed there may be some fire there too. :horsie:

Caroline has probably two more years on her little pony, but I would LOVE to have a palomino pony for her and Morgans are one of my fav breeds...yes, they can be quite firey Zen Rider! But the two Morgans I owned were both VERY trustworthy animals.... very sane and gentle, although they DID like to GO GO GO... It says she was sporthorse bred, rather than the park saddle breeding that gives you the extravagant action and up headedness...she does have lovely conformation and that color! WOW! I just love her head too. And even I could ride a 14.2 hand horse, especially a Morgan, who are so strong backed.... I have trouble riding and training our Welshie, cause he is SOOOO tiny! Even though he carries me fine and can even take jumps with me on him! I just hate doing it. I rode him last night though, in a halter, cause he was giving Caroline some stubborn little balking problems. I took out a little crop and we got him going as soon as you could say "bobs yer uncle."

Cause she'll be four and ready to go once Caroline is ready to move up from the pony.
And I'll take her once Caroline outgrows her. Yes I'd do that for you. ;D

What a cutie, and a Morgan to boot! I completely agree with everything you said about Morgans...she'd be perfect by the time Caroline outgrows her pony! And then you can breed her with a nice Tb stallion and get "the perfect horse"...

LOL!! Are you sure, Big Tee , that it doesn't make Smushed Green banana? S.May, on the honest and serios side, I had a Morgan for nine years. He was WONDERFUL! Sane. Would cross anything , do anything. Not spooky. . He would however go and go and go and go. Suggest removing batteries when you're ready to stop.

I can't believe it! Do your feet touch the ground? Nah...you're probably flexible enough to put your feet up in those little bitty stirrups and stay centered on his little tiny saddle. I'd love to see you give that pony a jumping lesson! LOL

I don't usually use a saddle cuz of that very stirrup thing! I can almost click my heels together under his belly however....if he wasn't so durn rolly polly, I could do it! And yes, I have proof that I jump him and everything. Must ...Get.... Pictures! At Pony Club meetings, when he's being obstinate for Caroline, I sometimes get on him after the lesson and remind him of what he was SUPPOSED to be doing. That pony can pop over the jumps with no problem, even with ME on him. He is an incredibly sturdy pony. Even so, I don't ride him often, or hard. Just a few rounds of the ring to remind him what "CANTER" means, and you should see him "HO!" He puts the brakes on so hard, it's a one-stride Halt from any gait. It's cute.

Now lookee here! A Rocky Mountain Pleasure Horse, five years old, 14.2 hands, and now THAT'S a palomino! WOW! Not quite as feminine and delicate as my little Morgan there, but what a flash-dog he is !!!! He's all trained the 'resistance free" way and does trails and shows and stuff. Only trouble with these guys is that they are gaited. Have a little trouble eventing them in Pony Club, cause racking is not allowed in the dressage! hahaha

They are both yummy! The little Morgan is so pretty and refined - what a gorgeous face. The RMPH is such a beautiful golden color and what a WHITE mane. What were the price tags on these puppies?

I just love golden or dark palominos...in pony size, they just can't be beat! These two are both expensive and I didn't linger on the price cause I was just drool-shopping,,,you know. But they were either $5K or 7K or something like that. Morgans can be had for much less, but seldom in palomino! And the Mountain Horses, Kentucky horses, and other gaited saddle breeds are real pop'lr around here all a sudden! So, expensive...
