Been home a while now, but had to sort out all the pics and catch up with the board. Had a good visit with Lisann, met her horses and Jason, then went to the showjumping, but it was over before we could finish eating. Even so, very cool. Was thinking, hmmmm maybe in a couple of years (or more) I could bring Zen down and give it a wherl. Ya right. :loon: I suppose one never knows though. :neens: Anyway, spent the night on Lisann's couch with her kitties. They are just too cute. Will take more pictures next time, but between talking too much and this darn rechargable battery not holding much of a charge.... Anyway, here's the promised pictures. Here's Ali, just looking cute as can be. And Zeus her baby. OK, actually Flyte's baby.... And Swag, her boyfriend Jason's horse. And of course Flyte. Who I got to ride. What a good girl. Feeeeeeed Meeeeeeee! Sadly this might be the best pic, but will have to go back and see if Lisann has her eyes open in the others. :hahaha:

Well poo.... I wish I had known you were coming down this way. I'd have treated you to lunch or something (or made you help me clean stalls ha ha ha ha).
Looks like you had a good time meeting Lisann and her AyRab/Fairmount Park Flunky crew!

Yup, ZenRider and I rode on Sunday. It was in the mid-30s and not TOO windy, so our fingers didn't get cold until we'd been out for a bit My cats won't leave anyone who comes here alone. They are certain that everyone loves them.

Sounds like you had a great time! I wish we could all get together somehow.....
Looking forward to my new computer so that the monitor will let me actually SEE the pictures....my monitor shows really dark so a lot of pictures don't show up for me.
Glad you guys had the opportunity to get together. Sounds like fun.
Hey, is that a CAT in the bottom picture?

Lisann and I figure a race day with you Keely will probably get more people to drive four hundred miles or so to be there. So we'll have to get planning! :horsie:
Oh and yes that's a cat in the bottom picture. Shortfat, are you sure it's your computer, sounds more like your monitor to me. You should be able to adjust the contrast and brightness somewhere on the monitor. I just had to buy a new monitor last year myself. Darn stuff just won't last forever. Then again it only had a little bitty screen and the 17 inch flat screen is much better. :brian: Hahaha, the cowboy is titled Brian.

Looks like you two had fun - making all those FACES! hahaha The horses all look incredibly healthy and happy...CLEAN even! Ali is very handsome! Nice picture ZenR. Thank you for obeying the ER rule of taking pics whenever two or more of us meet.... Speaking of meeting...I'm running into ALL kinds of problems with this stupid RV rental scheme I had for Rolex...but I'm not giving up yet... I'll have SOMETHING for us to camp in...! ( the main problem I'm finding is that they don't want to rent anything for less than a full week. and that becomes cost prohibitive. I know that I want something with beds and heat and a stove. Those three things I need. ANd light. I need light. And a potty. That would be needed. And a refrigerator and couches and a sink with water. Those things I need to camp. And a tv. We need a tv there of course. I spent about 5 hours at the vacation, travel and boat show this weekend grilling all concerned about various rental items and prices and terms.... didn't come up with much luck unless I want to drive a 27 foot Class C vehicle for a week at about $1000. That's not exactly right. Where would I go after Rolex was all over?? hahaha But I'm not giving up yet, don't worry.

Eeeek, $1,000 for a week, We could stay at a very nice hotel for the few days you'll be there for that. Or make a good down payment to own one. Wish I knew someone that had one we could borrow, but they moved to Colorado on me. Maybe we should just get one of those big three or four room tents. Yah, know the one's with a big common room in the middle and two or three side rooms for sleeping. OK, not heated, but only about $165 to $200 for a decent one. I'm just hoping for better weather in general, they are about due for a really good weekend there.

That looks great! Beautiful horses. And women, too, of course.
Now, SMay, you know I cannot resist a comment here. HA HA HA! You could stay at the Motel 6 for a fraction of that and have all your requirements: Bathroom (with FAN, too!) sink, beds, AC and cable TV. But of course us weenies will miss out on all that diesel...er, wood smoke, and the gentle, soothing sound of porta potty door springs...I mean wind in the pine trees!
I can't stop laughing!

It's just so much more FUNNER to camp out! Plus we have all these people coming and we want to all be hanging out together and running up and down the halls of the Motel 6 just AIN'T the same. WAHHHH! I'm going to find a way. I know ZENRIDER, I was wishing I knew someone to borrow from too... sheesh, it seems like every other house on my STREET parks a big RV, but no one seems to "lend" 'em out, even for a fair price. I guess it's more of an insurance thing. I thought I had the best thing figured out, when I discovered that one of the pony club mommies works at an RV dealership.... PERFECT, hee hee...right? Well, they only thing they rent out is either the 35 foot travel trailers ( believe me, that it TOO BIG) or else the HUGE Class A deisel pushers! hahaha Just a little much for our requirements. They rent a lot of vehicles for the Quarter Horse Congress, and those people think nothing of doling out $3500 a week... NO KIDDING, really! That much! WHOO. Would you guys be all put out if I just rented one of those pop up trailers? They HAVE a roof, but they don't have hard walls...tents on wheels. but they DO have lots of sleeping places, heaters and stoves and stuff. They are MUCH more easily rented. We need a heater cause we were cold last year. You zip up the walls, turn on the heater and hope that you don't get carbon monoxided.... KIDDING!!! it's electric heat. HAHAHAHA

Now that you know how much it is to rent one of them darn things, you should DEFINITELY be able to Justify buying Katmease's Dad's Camper for only $3,500 to your Hubby. Just think of the money you'd save after using it just two years at the Rolex! :hahaha:
