Hi ravensmom I used to event (at BN but I did know where all the horse trials were and am still on the Eventers-L list). Now, I just do dressage and foxchase.
Are you close to Bucks Co. Horse park? They hold schooling dressage shows, unrecognized horse trials and one recognized trial.
I used to belong to MCTA (MD combined training asociation) although I think ECTDA (eastern combined training and dressage assoc.) may be active near you.

I live in MI and I am horse poor..... everytime I build a new stall a new horse finds its way into it... my husband has limited me to 4, but I have a foal coming this summer or next...so that makes 5. I have a pick of the crop for breaking a colt last spring coming. Not an at home mom anymore, but been there. And you can have the second best looking trail horse next to my diego! hehehe ;D Anyways....welcome aboard.

Hi there,
Nice to make your acquaintance! I did the stay-at-home-mom thing when our two boys were young (now 18 and 16), but only kept one horse at a time, back then. When our daughter came along almost 7 years ago, I kept working and increased my 'herd' (two QHs, then a pony). I tell everyone that I work to support my horse habit! In fact, one day at the post office, I was returning some riding boots and the clerk asked if I had horses. Then he said "You must be rich!" I said "I WOULD be if I didn't have horses!" ;D But, what would life be without them??
You'll love this board, everyone couldn't be nicer!

Hi guys!
Katelyn, I'll be at the Expo too. I don't want to miss the TB retraining thing on Saturday. Is that why you're going? Hunter/Jumper stuff right before that too, so my Mom and I are planning to spend the day.
Thanks everybody for the support, encouragement and ideas. I already feel more able to find a way to keep at it... ;D

Welcome! I hope you and Raven have a wonderful time together. This is a lovely forum and yes, Niaru is very brave. I think everyone here is so supportive. But we do have lots of fun, too. Ask ANYONE about the Virtual Christmas Party ....

Hi again, yup, I, too, am planning to spend Sat at the expo. there are several presentations I'm interested in, as well as, lots of vendors with nice stuff and decent prices. We don't have much in the way of tack shops up here...mostly use the magazines. I was also considering going to the theatre show...know anything about it??
