:bang: I have the exact same problem with my boy (except he wore his on the hay feeder, which has now been removed from the pasture as I cannot stand this! Hubby says am being a "girl", LOL) This from the man who has me roach his geldings mane! Sure hope you get a couple good suggestions I could sure use 'em ) I was thinking along your lines though, maybe a short cut, although wondered if that might actually make it stand out more??

Now, I can't see your horse, but what about pulling it very short so that the missing hunk stands out less? Yes, depending on the mane and crest thickness, it may stand up like it has been hogged but it may match better.
Or, I'll send some of Carambi's extra hair. He suffers from pony-mane-itis LOL! ;D

Arg! !! After you pull it short and the missing chunk starts growing in and making him look like a Roman chariot horse, I swear by Quick Braid. Hmmm. . . wonder what it would do for my mop? ;D

here's how I manage manes: I try to keep the horses manes looking like my hair. In order to acheive that effect I encourage, long, ratty and unkempt. Its an easy look to get ;D
