OK, I learned that TBs have to bred live cover to be registered with jockey club, but I'm trying to learn as much as possible.
What are good question to ask the stallion owner you picked out? Is a LFG common? Is there anything to definately know or saty away from?
Can you tell I've only owed geldings ;D Thanks guys, any help is greatlly appreciated

yes, LFG are normal DON'T go without one you'll regret it. You want to know the % of mares that catch the first cycle, what type health infomation you'll need on the mare (culture results, vet exams, vaccines), ALL cost, cause they will nickle and dime you to death. If you are going to leave your mare there what type of facilities they have. How do they do their live cover ? mare and stallion on lead shanks? mares drugged? hobbled? What if something happens to your mare on there farm? How many cycles will they bred her before calling it quits? If she doesn't catch can you subsitute another mare?
By the way do you have a mare already to breed? Theres alot to watch out for so ask lots of questions

Audrey, THANKS!
The stallion is less then 30 minutes from here, so I would like to trailer there for the 3 days, for her to be bred. He is an older stallion, but still a stallion I'd be very interested in.
What are good questions to ask? What is the difference between the mare and stallion on leads or if she's hobbled? What do I need to avoid?
Is the booking fee included or in addition to the stud fee?
If it's easier, you can email me FlyACK1@aol.com
