I turned Sierra and Zane out for the first time with each other. I was a little nervous, not because I thought they would hurt one another, but because I want the two of them to get along since they are now "brothers". They had lots of fun together and Zane follows Sierra around like a puppy.
But right when I get Zane to the barn I notice he is limping. My first thought, was that he had stepped on his leg wrong while he was bucking and carrying on. On closer inspection I find out that he has ripped two nails out of his shoe and the third is bent. He was trying very hard not to put his weight on his front leg but it did still swell a bit.
My shoer was no where to be found. My trainer finally got ahold of her shoer who came by before he went on his trip to Mexico. Thank god! He didn't even charge me for taking the shoe off and re-attaching it!
