OK this is by far and away the oddest thing I have ever asked. Let me explain why first and you all can chip in.
I saw a horse for sale lately and I was stopped cold when I noticed more about it.
This mare bears a striking resemblance to my favorite mare who died being struck by lightning in '97.
Here's the reasons I stopped cold.
Both mares have the same names and its a nickname for the same longer name. Not overly a common name.
Both are chestnuts with the same type of conformation and a blaze in the similar locations and both have 2 ankle socks, albeit on diff. legs.
Both are described the same way. Not spooky happy and willing to do most anything.
Both were first seen by me at age 5. Mine way back in '92 and this one now.
This one is located 10 miles from my dad's place, where I'll be next week.
OK here's where I get a touch spooky... Mine died in '97 in the early summer. This one was born the next spring. AS in *IF* (HUGE) there is reincarnation, this would have been the first crop of foals to jump into.
Also just odd but kindof unsual on the timing.. I have a braided section of my dead mare's mane. Well I saved it from my cat a week ago and I look right at it to see the computer screen...I put it there yesterday...about an hour before I saw this mare.
Ok the "Realism Side of things"
1.) The name similarity stems largely to this new mare's sire having the name in his name
2.) There are lots of Chestnut mares
3.) Many have blazes
4.) Millions of horses were born in '98
5.) The markings aren't exactly the same
6.) It defies logic and is stupid to like a horse based on resemblence of a dearly missed loved one...
7.) There's a hand difference in height
BUT............ what if.....
All opinions appreciated even the people laughing at this idea.
