Do you guys know of anyone looking for an Event horse? I wouldn't ask, but we really need to sell this guy. He's a great horse. Has competed up to Intermediate, and still can. 12 years old, TB, unraced, gelding, dark bay, 16.2-3ish, refined build, sound. He has had his hocks injected, but not on a regular basis. A girl was leasing him last year that was going to do a 3-day on him and she had it done. He came up lame before the 3-day, went sound, her vet cleared him, and he was spun at the jog. We went and got him, took him to our vet. He had received a hot nail, and had no heels- this was our vet's diagnosis, her vet had no diagnosis. After pads with shoeing to get him some heel back, he is great, and just wearing regular shoes. His owner is in med school and can't continue to compete him and will not lease him out again. He needs to sell him for school money. This horse could pack someone around Training courses or do Prelim and above. He has done a schooling show at Prelim this year to get him back out and he placed 2nd, weekend before last he did a rated jumper show at 4'3, 3'9, 3'6, and 3'3. He got a 3rd, a 2nd, and 2- 5ths. He had one rail out of the both days classes. This past weekend he did a registered show at Prelim and got 6th. Would have been 3rd if the rider would have pushed for time on XC and not received time penalties. Stadium was double clear and XC was clear as far as jumping penalities. They were thinking of doing the CIC** in Dallas, but don't think they'll have enough ride time in. He'll probably do a few more Prelims and if they can get someone to exercise him some, do an Intermediate in the Fall, if not sold. His asking price is $35k, but is negotiable to good show home.
