What a nightmare! All 3 big guys are sassy, full of too much good food and too much attitude. So yesterday, set up a round pen and took Eagle in first. Figured it was too small as his kicks brushed my arms a couple of times. So then made a bigger one and things were better Eagle was a maniac for about the first 10 minutes but eventually calmed down. Vance was mortified that I was with Eagle and not him and kept trying to attack Eagle. Even fatso Mikhail was dashing around like a young nubile stallion. Anyway, with much swearing (all 3 were "son of a b%tch" yesterday instead of "handsome, sweetie and goofy"!) and wishing I had an indoor so I wouldn't have to go through this stuff every spring after they've had such a long layoff of doing nothing except getting attitude, we called it a day. It was a very long day as we had to reestablish that they are no longer the kings and that they must be respectful. My feet were stepped on twice, grazing hind ends came too close too many times, there was much squealing and cavorting.
So go out today to do it all again and all 3 were sweet as could be and were called their proper terms of endearment again. Very attentive, well mannered and just as loving as could be. My boys are back!

Oh Vida Vida! I know thoses days. I'm glad they've come around quickly. Mine do too. They know unless they're a prince and princess on the ground it'll be 80 before I get on.

Yahweeee Vida...... those kicks would be too close for me.. Don't you just hate not having an indoor..... I was looking at one of those round pen covers for the winter. I have to do mine this week........ I am sure we will go through the same thing.... squealing, bucking, kicking and attitude!!! One guy last weekend told me to just get on them horses and ride them..... Diablo opps I mean Diego hasn't been worked since Christmas!!! Does this mean lawn chair season has begun already??? LOL

That's the biggest complaint about where I board now...no indoor. I had BIG plans to work Tango through the winter. I'll ride in rain and snow (reasonably speaking) but this winter was just complete crap. So Tango definitely had most of it off.
Good to hear others are getting back into it, too. (Misery does love company, doesn't it?)
