Anyone watching? Nice of them to show some eventing between commercials. Looked like a tough technical course. Lots of time penalties. Missed the early riders, so will have to watch that on demand another time. Probably the only thing I'll be watching intentionally.

No, I haven't seen a bit of it, unfortunately! :-(
I've heard a few complaints about the course - I guess the jumps were really narrow? BUT I've also heard that everyone went safely, so that's a bonus!!!

No, I haven't seen a bit of it, unfortunately! :-( I've heard a few complaints about the course - I guess the jumps were really narrow? BUT I've also heard that everyone went safely, so that's a bonus!!! Yes, but who was complaining? There were some falls, but no major or catastrophic injuries. Micheal Jung and a very few others went double clear. Aside from some refusals/run outs, most of the other riders accrued time faults. So difficult yes, but not impossible. Yes, some were narrow, but most of the really narrow ones had options. This was the Olympics not the schooling show down the road. If any of the riders were complaining they should feel lucky they don't have to do the Steeple Chase and Roads and Tracks before cross country anymore. My biggest complaint was no leader board showing the results of all the riders/horses. If there is one out there I haven't found it yet. Am guessing the Olympic Comity has such a stranglehold on the Olympics that no one can post the full results. And they apparently don't realize that people who watch eventing like to see the full results and not just who won......

Love Phillip Dutton, but I'm sure he's feeling lucky his stirrup passed the flag before Mighty Fine's hind slipped out. Another rider before him wasn't so lucky.
