Impresso was the barn's patriarch. He was one of the nicest stallions you could ever hoped to know. Though you still had to treat him with respect.
He lay down to sleep Tuesday night and didn't wake up Monday morning. He had some ups and downs the past year and his blood work gave away where he was failing. However, last Sunday evening he showed no sign he was leaving so soon. Flirting with the mares that passed his stall and challenging the geldings. Except for Guy who had become something of a buddy having been stabled across from him for about 5 years. Guy seems a bit bummed out, but he'll be OK,
RIP Impresso.

RIP Impresso - he sounds like he was a grand old guy.
