Zenyatta's War Front Colt Dies
Team Zenyatta and Lane’s End Farm announced April 13 that the champion mare's War Front colt born April 10 has died.
His death occurred at approximately 9 a.m. April 13 because of complications of meconium aspiration syndrome.
"We express our deep gratitude to Dr. Peter Morresey and the professionals at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital who worked tirelessly to support the mare and foal. Zenyatta is in good health and back home at Lane’s End Farm," stated the announcement.
This is so sad. Her War Front filly died in a pasture accident. They both looked like really nice foals. They looked like her -- dark bay, big blaze, and BIG EARS.
