OK, I know the world does not revolve around me, if it did I would have been able to get the time off to do Rolex last year when some were considering a 10 year reunion of the Exracer invasion in 2004... As it is, the world does not revolve around me, or maybe it does...after all, the last time I made it to Rolex was 2005. What am I getting at? Well, as we pick vacations based on seniority, my window is rather narrow with the job change last year. However, this year I managed to snag the week of Rolex and the Week after. Hmmm, Rolex then the Derby. Anyway, I can always do something else if no one wants to, but I am fully open to a full blown return to Rolex. Drizzly Woods anyone? Just thinking out loud here. Probably take my camper, though I will likely be in the overflow since they started the reservation thing years ago.

AAAHHHH you poor working slobs must plan ahead. For us retirees…EVERY DAY IS A VACATION DAY!!!!! YEAH!!!! It's hard to think that far ahead, BUT I have been thinking for several years that I would like to go to Rolex. Why not THIS YEAR??!!! So, sure count me in. I should be walking ok by then and it'll be a b-day present to me. A TWO-FER!!!! Right now I'm recuperating from knee replacement surgery. So far so good. I want to get back in to hiking-able. One thing on my list is to do the Appalachian Trail here in my county at least. There's quite a trail here and some of it is pretty rugged. Also want to do a trip to Ireland next year.
BUT FIRST --- ROLEX!!!

Here's to replaceable parts Truth! Hope it feels better soon. Yeah, darn work thing gets in the way of hiking and stuff. Since I can't get a regular camp site with the reservation system they have filling up the campground for the next year the day Rolex starts. I'll probably be camping in the primitive. Have to do some investigating, but the primitive with electric might be first come first serve. If that's the case, I could get there early in the week and secure a site or two or three maybe. Wouldn't be the first time I did that. I'm pretty sure SMay goes down with her daughter most years, though they have gravitated to the hotel experience I believe. Which I get, but now that I have a camper... So anyone else? We need Bara to arrange the Drizzly Woods Experience. Hey, Bara, if you fly into Chicago, we could do a couple of days in/around Chicago before driving down to Kentucky. (2016 if I can get time off around Badminton I'm game. Would love to do Burghley, but I might be retired before I can get time off around that. If Flynn hadn't had a bad year that one year I just might of made it to Burghley, but things just didn't align right... Anyway, getting to Lexington early, we could do one of the horse farm tours, though the 'best' stallions to view are off limits that time of year due to breeding season. Did a couple with Jamie once and Keeneland is running that week... Will try to talk Jamie into it (need her to pick my winners at the track), but here kids may interfere. All I ask is no Pizza Hut. Where's Amy? I wonder if the place with the mechanical bull is still there? Boy, if this doesn't get people off Facebook for a bit, nothing will.

I'm wrong the 8th was the last day you could get them shipped to your house. You can buy them online and pick them up at Will Call at the event. OK, so who's going. Common someone drag the Facebook crowd back here, we can move this to Agony for a little privacy.

LOL! You're a tease, Yvette! I would LOVE to do Rolex, but I don't have the necessary sheckels. However, I'll still arrange Drizzly Woods, if you like? I did it from here last time. Or maybe we can find somewhere ... errr ... nicer! (Truth - you see, it was a bit - well - oh never mind ...!)

Need some dry weather thoughts for Saturdays cross-country. It may have been hot sometimes, but the weather was way better when the event was held at the end of May. OK that was a very, very long time ago, but the memory of being guaranteed at least warm weather remains. OK so does the April Rolex Smay AND my friend Jamie left me to weather out the tornadoes by myself at the campground. Then again, the next day I did get my Rolex hat signed by both O'Connor's.
