It's a great way to take a lot of tomatoes and turn them into a few small jars of condiment. AND, last night I made Zwetschgendatschi (Italian plum tart) with Aunt Hedi's secret recipe, but I think her recipe is actually still a secret, since mine was not nearly as good as hers. So I tried a variation with peaches today. It's not bad. Whenever I make a few jars of something, I think of Terrie and Pam, who inspire me with their food preservation accomplishments. You know, this is almost a lost art. Well, at least it's lost in my kitchen for the most part!

Don't you have a supermarket which delivers???
Just kidding, I'm just jealous. I bought a bread maker and one for my SIL. She turned out a perfect Blueberry loaf to Terrie's recipe. I turned out a little hard brick, pitted with little black things.
Sigh.

Cool, Ad. I've mixed my own Thousand island dressing and such using store bought items, but to make your own ketchup...
Bara, you are ahead of me, I bought a bread maker over a year ago and it's still in the box.

My bread maker is still in the box too, LOL. I was just looking for recipes for all the banana peppers Rick picked yesterday. I'm leaning toward salsa, as I'm not into stuffing them with cheeses. Bara if you need more recipes let me know.
