I watched parts of the opening of the Commonwealth Games today, and, to my surprise, speaking in his natural voice, was John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness). Even MORE of a surprise is when he started singing..,what a voice!! I think the woman that sang before him was Annie Lennox, sure looked like an older, heavier version of her.

I watched part of the Commonwealth Games today, too... Guess what, Tee? The Yanks wouldn't have even noticed that it was on. They threw our tea into Boston Harbour a couple of hundred years ago...
OK - did you notice The Games, my Transatlantic friends??

I have watched exactly two episodes of Dr Who! I did so because one of our librarians runs a Whovians Club for teens at the library. She built this fantastic Tardis. Brooks, Bara, Tee, you all need to come have your pictures taken! Here's Kristie, with her creation. Her shirt says "Keep Calm and Regenerate!" PS. I did hear a smidgeon of Commonwealth Games news on the radio! NPR carries some BBC news. Are you going to Glasgow to participate in the equestrian events, Bara! They'll be needing a Shetland contingent.

LOL! No my brother and SIL live in Glasgow, so the family is represented. I just loved the little Scottie dogs at the opening ceremony!
