Any stories? Common ER's I know some of our Facebookers are lurking here. Fess up.
Maybe next year.

I wondered if anyone from here was going to go. Thanks, Zen, for posting! I was thinking about going, but my septic had a different idea. Rolex was going to be a birthday present to me, BUT instead I got a lousy septic. Thought I was going to have to replace the pump, BUT turned out it was ok.......maybe. Ended up pumping it, which it needed. Hadn't pumped since I moved in. put in a riser and he fixed the plug that was corroded. SO, there went the Rolex budget. maybe next year. However, my friend and his wife were in Philly. So, we met halfway for lunch/dinner and celebrated our birthdays .....his and mine are the same day and his wife's was the next day. We figured we hadn't seen each in TWENTY YEARS!! Although we talk fairly often over the phone. On my bday I went up to State College and went thru Penn's Cave. Then took the dogs to a state park. It was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!! for a change...... WHAT happened at Rolex? ??

Truth, good to see you. Glad to hear, aside from the Septic tank, you are having a nice spring. No Rolex for me, again, but do think about the ones I have been to and the fun I had with friends there. Depending on how much home repair costs me this year and what weeks I can get off for vacation next year, am thinking maybe Rolex next year. I went for so many years, then haven't made it to one for 9 years. Time flies. Septics, fun stuff huh? Had mine pumped last year whether it needed it or not. Have an old one, so no pumps and such to fail yet. Fortunately I don't have one of the original ones, those are concrete and a big mess to replace. Neighbor across the street just did that. I don't even want to know what that cost...

As usual our student trip to Quebec was scheduled that week-end...and I even missed the NBC report last week. Sheesh. I wonder who went, too!

You really need to get them to pick another weekend for that trip. I couldn't do it 'again' this year either. Unless I took Friday off I really couldn't do cross country day either, since for the first time ever I couldn't get that week off. Kept thinking about it, but just not in the cards. I really do miss the first come first serve for campsites. It would seem the people that are there for the Rolex the previous year get first right to reserve, as the sites are filled up already while the event is going on. Maybe even before. OK, forgot to check, but that was the case last year.

SMay went, I think. I was going to go, but instead did a 10 day vacation with the SO. We were going to make the vacation at Rolex, but he had to use his hours before then.

RR, good to see you! I think SMay goes every year. I believe she makes her daughter volunteer so she can get in free. Found out one of the boarders went down this year. She's more into western speed stuff, but she loved it. Duh, don't have to do it to love it. Of course, it was the reining that got her down there. If I can get Rolex week off next year I'm thinking I'm going. If only for old times sake. Unfortunately, I won't know until around or after Thanksgiving this year. As the weather shouldn't be too hot yet, my camper should do just fine in the primitive area. Though if the primitive electric is first come, first served I'd snag one of those. Oh well, got to get through the summer first. I just wish we still had the Maui Jim Three Day up here in Illinois. It's a shame politics and whatever else stopped that fantastic event.
