...to share news that I never shared publicly. I lost Tipping back on October 8th of last year. It was too difficult to talk about it much though i shared it with a few friends privately. Tipping battled cellulitis for months. Our vet came out every week to help me work on her leg and treat her. We had decided to put her down in late August but he asked us not to give up her on just yet. She was a fighter. She was also in foal to our stallion which made the decision even more painful. She was the best chestnut mare I have ever known and we still miss her a lot. Hannah will say randomly, " I miss Tipping Mommy." Makes me want to cry. Tipping used to let Hannah lead her all over the place. She would brush her forelock and feed her treats. She was such a kind mare. We all agreed to keep trying with her because SHE kept fighting. But no matter what we did....the infection won. She did eventually tell us she had had enough. So we ended her pain. Here are some pictures of her the fall before we decided to breed her. She has a yearling colt on the ground that had a lot of her personality. smg.photobucket.com/user/jenarby/library/New%20Tipping%20PIctures?sort=3&page=1
