where it belongs! Seriously, really. I know you get more, but I think we've had more this winter then we've had in the last two winters. Sheesh. The worst thing is, by the time it stops, that it will be around 0*F and blowing. Sigh. Worst thing is I'm working nights and may just go in at 1230 AM (have the opportunity to start early, which will give me the opportunity to leave early tomorrow), leaving around 1030PM when I'll probably just finish clearing snow. Sigh. Work is going to be fun tomorrow. Even more fun the next day, since so many people are probably stuck at home shopping on line. Will stop at the barn tomorrow to check on the ponies, though I'm sure they are fine. If nothing else Big Tee, share your huge piles of snow to make me feel better about this. OK?

It is NOT my white crap, it is YOUR white crap. This is all courtesy of Alaska and that is not part of Canada. Looked at the Jetstream map and it seems to be stuck somewhere west of the Great Divide - warm (ish) all the way up the wet coast and everything on the east side of the jet stream is brutally cold. We reached wind chills colder than -60F over the last couple of days and today, it is only -40. Someone took a picture of the Cowtown sign yesterday and sent it to the paper. I've seen sun dogs before, and a ring around the sun but this is a combination - www.leaderpost.com/technology/Bitter+cold+clutches+Sask/9352669/story.html

What I want to know is WHAT have you all done with the rain ? The west coast, excuse me, southern west coast is drying up. Our area hit the hardest. No real rain is over 365 days

That's not what our weather liar says, keeps talking about cold air masses from Canada.

Yes, polar vortex and all *roll eyes*
We had that much snow too, Zen, a while ago, now half of it has melted. It's been a bit cold for the season even here. Were not used to negative Fahrenheit temperatures. Good thing it didn't last that long! Now, 20 degrees really feels balmy.

In celsius, maybe, not in Fahrenheit, Bara! We're supposed to hit 50*F today (that's 10*C). And have lots of rain. Yuck.

Yep, we've already got that Niaru, though it didn't hit 50*F it did get warm enough to make my walkway in back now 2" or so deep with water. Ugh. Supposed to be warm tomorrow, so hopefully more of this will melt off and away then I was thinking would happen, so as not to have an ice skating rink instead of a driveway. However, better then the negative temps we were having. We usually get some, but not that severe and for as long. Here's to spring, that can never come quick enough and will probably bring more flooding. (I want my rolling eyes guy back )

Common Bara, what do you know of the cold? After all, you live in the islands. I suppose if I owned ice skates I would have the luxury of having a skating rink instead of a driveway right now. Not much good without ice skates. Hopefully today's warm up will remedy that, but doubt it. Big Tee is likely having just as much fun, as she has been largely absent here.

All the horses were in yesterday because everything outside was a skating rink and I think a lot of the horses don't have winter shoes. I already fell once just walking on the ice, coming back from turning Charm out, I didn't have her neck for support...Splat. She's faring much better than I am, with her 4 winter/borium shoes. Oh, and with the warm up, the snow / ice is sliding off the indoor roof - FUN! Good thing Charm and I had pretty much finished our ride and were just standing, talking to a friend, when that happened. She still squealed and jumped forward, but left it at that, thankfully. So Bara what's your weather like these days? And be precise: snow amount (in inches), temperature (in C or F), wind chill factor, etc etc
