Happy New Year to you Bara. I was out and about looking for an auger belt for my snow blower. Thought about calling you, but my bluetooth needs to be charged. Had bought one earlier (auger belt that is, not bluetooth), but went to lunch with a friend whose in the area visiting family, before seeing if it would work. Friends come first, especially friends that will go out for lunch with you when you are looking kinda shabby. I knew the belt wasn't quite the right size, but seemed close enough, though I should have erred smaller then a slight be larger. Of course they didn't have the size that would have likely been spot on. Wasn't thinking in a hurry and all, anyway, slight bit too large means, won't stay on. Of course, slight bit too small is going to be a pain to get on. Sadly, the place with the most belts was closed (early for New Years Eve). Of course, didn't know no one else would have any near the right size when I set out or I would have just gone to the barn. Hey, I figured between Sears, and two major chain hardware stores I should be able to find one... Yeah, dreaming. Anyway, the store I will go to tomorrow is only a couple of miles away should I have to make it a hike. OK, I could use the exercise anyway. Oh, yeah, this thread was about New Years.... Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Mine is a similar model and age. Looking at the videos of newer models I'm hoping to keep my old dinosaur going for some time yet. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uno7sxeuvYBTW, this guy made it a lot harder and complicated then he had to. If you push the auger lever down you can just feed the belt down and around the lower pulley. Silly guys, always making things more complicated then they have to. Snowing again tonight through tomorrow, so good thing the snow blower is good and ready to go.

The auger belt is the belt that makes the auger turn and scoop and throw the snow so that I don't have to shovel it.
