I have got all cards sent and gifts sent. Now what to have for a special dinner ? I just can't decide go fancy or something simple. I was thinking maybe Breakfast Waffles, bacon, real maple syrup, real butter It would be a treat for us and we are not having any guests. My sisters are with their kids this holiday and Brian's brother is with his wife's family. How about you ? what are your plans ?

Working at the Food Pantry on Christmas eve. I mailed cards yesterday and delivered the last tray of goodies to my vet's clinic.
It's just the 2 of us this Christmas. So maybe a prime rib roast for the main meal, not sure yet.

Gifts that need to be mailed are out, but no cards are ready yet and there are still more gifts to wrap. Ugh. And I never did make the Christmas cookies that I was sure I would have time to make this year. Oh well. It's the thought that counts, right? Life seems to go by faster every year. I think we all put so much pressure on ourselves to do too much. Maybe that's a good New Year's Resolution? Slow it down and simplify. We had a few Christmas day invitations, but I'm really looking forward to a quiet day at home with hubby and the fur babies. Wishing everyone on Exracers Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas!

Not me, just sent cards out yesterday, so a few of you will likely get them after Christmas. Been working such long hours doesn't leave much time for anything, even the internet.

oooh breakfast in California sounds good! I'll bring some Wild Maine Blueberries jam. Cards? arrhem... CARDS? Gifts...well, there are SOME under the tree...some have arrived at their destination, some have not... But all in all, as ready as I'll be. We at least have dinner all planned, even if we're not sure who exactly WILL be there! - toasts with smoked salmon / foie gras, and Sauternes - Fowl stuffed with prunes / dried apricots / chestnuts and roasted turnips - mashed celeriac/potatoes - red beets/endives/apples and walnuts salad - Bûche de Noël and fruit salad with Champagne! Even if there's only 3 of us, lol~!

I want to go somewhere warmer then the 4*F it is here right now! Brrrrrrrrr. Good thing I actually finished my Christmas shopping, because, except for popping out to the barn for a bit, I'm staying home where it's warm I think. It's supposed to warm up to about 14*F, warm up, hahaha, well I'll go then I think. adding 4*F is -15*C for those that can do metric.
