Who's reading what ? What's good and recommended ? What should we avoid I have started to reread Gone with the Wind. There was a thread that made start thinking about it. What a great book and Scarlett which followed it was also great. Why do I find myself rereading instead of finding new books to read ? I really would love a new mystery or sequel. I think it's cause I am afraid I won't like it then I am stuck with a book I don't like, (big sigh) I know I am weird.

If you like serial killer type mystery stuff, I just read one called "Creatures of Appetite" that I really liked. It's the first book by this author, which made me a bit sad because I wanted MORE. I won't say the writing is fantastic, which if you're a mystery buff, you know that can be the case with a lot of this sort of book, but I was thoroughly entertained and I loved loved loved the ending.

I think I have to read the Divergent books. Professional obligation and all that. Meanwhile...still hooked on Flavia de Luce!

I enjoyed the Divergent books, Ann. I have to get the 3rd one in the series, I think it just came out.
I also just read The 80 dollar champion (Snowman) and really liked it! It made me tear up at times. What a great story.
Right now I am in The Stranger of Birobidjan by Marek Halter (don't think it's been translated into English yet). Interesting, but then I like all of his books.
MTA, I just saw that Allegiant (the last Divergent book) received terrible reviews on Amazon, for both the author writing style, choices, and the ending. So now I really have to read it to see if the reviews are correct, lol! I think I'll wait to see if my local library has it, rather than buying the kindle edition...

Claire, does your library have ebooks, too? That's an option for the Roth novel, perhaps.

Half-Broke Horses. Written by Jeannette Walls. It is the autobiography of her grandmother Lily Casey Smith. I just got it home and can't wait to start it.
