Between Claire and Brooks, we get coast-to-coast scenic vistas! Looks like the perfect place to trail ride, and Charm must not mind very much.

Those mountain climbing photos were somewhat hair raising though! Some of them made it look like you were on a sheer cliff! I loff New England. Right about now my family is going on their annual hike up Mount Monadnock. wait. That's not spelled right. *sigh*
Well, it is spelled right. Just goes to show you how long it's been since I got to hike up Mount Monadnock.

Yes Heide it's in Maine, but the hiking pics are in New Hampshire's white mountains (mount Chocorua). Fall is the best season of the year around here!
Now we have to be careful about hunters. Just yesterday I took Charm on the trails and saw 2 of them, and we weren't that far from the barn...Lots of gun discharging today, too, even tho there is no hunting on Sundays, in Maine...I don't know what they were doing, practice shooting in the woods, maybe? It made Charm a bit jumpy.

Gorgeous! I bet they were sighting their black powder guns on a sunday. I guess the guns are not exact so they need to line up their aim and calibrate or some such.  Not sure of the particulars, just sharing what I was told by a fellow foxhunter when we came across some landowners shooting on a sunday last year. |
