sleep any more. Seems like lately I am up at 2 or 3 AM for no good reason. My mind just won't SHUT-UP!!!! I think of the strangest things. Reading helps me get to sleep but I can't stay asleep. Grrrrrrr What do you do when you can't sleep ?? (And the first person who tells me to "count my blessing" as in the movie, will get slapped.)

No slap for me! My sleep patterns are topsy-turvy, too.
I hear you LOUD AND CLEAR about your brain not SHUTTING UP! Counting sheep is not an option, in Shetland - you'd NEVER get to sleep!!
I write. Then, even I get bored and drop off. I know the answer. But, if I can't make myself do it - then I can't help anyone else.
It's a regime. "I need to be at X by Y. I need to have prepared A for B." Mind you, I baked a terrific coffee cake at about 3.37 the other morning ..

count me in too brooks. It seems like I can get sleep for a couple of hours and then I am up. warm milk does work forme for getting back to sleep but it doesn't shut my mind up.
