Well, remember that the festival is 'last Tuesday in January'.
I have NO idea why. It's not even a 'real' festival, it's a Victorian invention. Like Christmas trees.

Aren't all festivals made up? It's much older then my town's Catfish Days, although we do have a mud volleyball tournament and fireworks. I'm all for holidays based around family, friends, food, and drink.

Never made it to the Solstices or Glastonbury Festival, but I have been to both places. Have hiked up the Tor more then once. Love Avesbury circle too and perhaps a slight bit more then Stonehenge, but thought it funny, in an ironic are you kidding me way, that they figured out a way to charge for parking there.
