(She won't like that!)
My 'bestest friend' at school has just emailed me a strange message... I mailed back and said 'What?' She'd been hacked and didn't know she'd mailed me. RESULT! Thanks to the hacker, we're back in touch!
We were best friends at school in Zambia when we were 11 - 14. I was a boarder and she was a day-girl. We touched base briefly in London, 20 years later. Then again just 5 years ago.
Now we're back in touch. :-)
She's about to move to Houston from London.
Ann, she's on the disc at the school pool when we were about 12! Her name is Genevieve. Or Gen.
How nice to keep friends.

It's always good to keep in touch. One never knows when you two might have a chance to have lunch sometime. Why was she standing on a disc at the school pool? I still have a couple of old friends from grade school and junior high that I still keep in touch with. You met one of them Bara. The rest only seem to pop up at the odd reunion.

LOL! The disc IS copied ... I'm told. Now I just have to go into the Big City to collect the copies.
It really ISN'T worth the big build up! To paraphrase : "But that was another country and besides - the monkey is dead."
I think Gen will like it, because she's on it. She's probably on a disc at the pool because she was Captain of the girls' swimming team. Sigh. And an accomplished ballerina. Sigh.
But - she didn't have HORSES.
Zen - was that Jamie, you're talking about? She was (probably still is) very nice! Pizza Hut springs to mind ...
It's a bit tricky for ex-Zambians to have school re-unions ... we're distributed all over the world.
I'm also in touch with a friend from my junior school. We were both boarders there, too, aged 9/10.
Her name is Amy (I think I may have mentioned her?) She was a 'Salvation Army Lass' - she's now Director of a large corporation.
I often wonder whether she takes the tambourine into Board meetings....?

How nice to find your old friend again! Life is funny that way. We just recently reconnected with a Moroccan couple we met 20 years ago at the university where I'm teaching...lost touch when they moved back to Rabat. When we talked to Abdu, it was as if we'd seen him the day before! So now they've invited our daughter to their house for a visit (she's in Spain right now), and they'll come to the US this Spring for their daughter's graduation from Columbia - she is also coming to see us for Thanksgiving, we'll take her to the town where she was born! Hopefully we'll get to visit them this summer. That would be SO cool!
