I’m now, officially a pensioner! I’m scouring the market for Faberge eggs, Nazi treasure troves, etc. Alternatively, it may just cover my phone bill. Better than nothing. I don’t feel guilty as I’d thought I would. Dear heavens, I’ve paid and paid and paid over the years. You still get the ‘bossy’ Social Services letters. That can’t be right? Surely there should be decorated floats, with half-naked boys dressed as Eros, firing flaming arrows piercing pound notes? Where’s the heavenly choir singing ‘Well done! You’ve made it!’ Where are the Neighbour Trolls, marching in chains behind the chariot, chanting ‘Mea Culpa’? Never mind. The dogs and I will settle for the knowledge that we can eat beyond tomorrow!

I HAVE MY PRIDE! However, I qualify for a bus pass (BUS? What's that?) I can have discounted hairdressing. I'm not sure that a perm and blue rinse would suit me. Unless it's Lisa's sort of 'blue rinse'!!
No, I tell a lie. I DO know what a bus is. It's the big red thing that tries to run you over as you walk round London. Or the big green thing that used to take you home from Brownies. And wouldn't allow your fish and chips on-board. If you had vinegar on them.
My brother is five years older than I am - and so is my cousin, Mike. I really wish I hadn't told them. My inbox is packed with "Oh, and you can..." "Don't forget to ask about..."
It's as much fun as your first day at school! New horizons! (Old horizons?)
There's a sort of 'helpful' feeding frenzy going on! As Frasier would say : "I'm listening."

Are you saying that if you saw a big red bus trundling up the lane in your Shetland paradise, you'd be no more surprised than if you saw Brooks' dragon landing in the garden? I suppose you can ride for a discount on Dragonaire, too.

Ooh! I'd LOVE to see a Big Red Bus trundling up the lane. It would say 'Piccadilly Circus.' And then I could offer my 'bus pass'. And it would take me home. Via Buckingham Palace.

Maybe Lexi needs a service dog harness, and dark glassed for you, and you 2 can toddle around town!!!
Don't forget the mowhawk!!! lol My blue color has faded to a bluish grey color!! Just what a 40 year old wants. Just before my knee replacement I am getting my whole head shaved. While I'm recovering, I am growing my hair from scratch!!! By summer I should have enough hair to style.

I really wish we'd made it to Florida, Lisa! Although I'm sure the locals would have given us a wide berth...
Had I known your hair plans a week ago! Drat! I ordered some pain-killers on the net and they delivered .... hair restorer ..
As is the way of the cyber-world, they've now sent the Ibuprofen but told me to hang onto the hair stuff.
It's a joke. I've 'suffered' from Big Hair all my life! However, I know a man who....
I'm evil. It's his birthday next week. :-)
Poor Charles. :-0
I mailed him : "I've posted your present." He mailed back : "Aww, you shouldn't have ..."

What you forgot to say......was........Happy Birthday to me Yes it's another year in the books. As for buses I would prefer the bus with gigantic pair of wheel and headlights, triple-decker, violently purple and appears out of nowhere. the Knight Bus. Ann my dragons would love to take across the pond anytime.

Jealous, I want to be retired. Then I could have waited three hours for one of the geysers to erupt with all the other retired people.

Don't be silly! I'm not REALLY retired. Just eligible for my 'State Pension'. Scary, huh? I intend to 'drop in harness'.
Brooks! Brooks!! Did we really miss your birthday??? New thread coming up ...
