My new girl is home! pics

I went and picked her up this morning. She loaded and hauled like a champ, even through a bunch of construction on the thruway that was really noisy. I put her in the stall for awhile when we first got home, but she was so laid back I decided to turn her out while I could be home for awhile to watch her. It was a total non-event. She's very sweet and laid back. When I got there to pick her up, the farm manager's son, who was maybe nine at most, was holding her while his mom prettied her up a bit.

I got the lowdown on her foaling from this year, no issues, easy foaling, good mom. I couldn't see her colt because he was at the other end of the farm as he was just weaned on Monday, but Wally, (manager) said he would get some pictures of him and send them to me. Here are some pics of her that I took.

In her stall, she was still sweaty from the trailer ride. It took her about five minutes to make two piles of manure and find the hay.

Lol Suzy. Yes, she sure is. I find that at most of the large breeding farms, the vast majority of the broodies are overweight. She's a big stocky mare anyway, so it's even more noticeable on her. I need to get some better conformation pics, especially from the front so you can appreciate how really BIG this mare is. She's over 16 hands with a massive chest and heartgirth.
