Well, of course, there's no choice.
Sooo... now I've had a pension fund pay-out - the council tax reverts to its £750. Damn, damn, double-damn, two Hells and a buggar. As Mother would have said.
I spoke to a sympathetic lady called Jean, who nonetheless exacted her toll. She said 'the watershed is £16K' : I said I CAN'T PAY YOU £16K!! Rather loudly.
"No, no, she soothed.
So there we are, or aren't. Council tax is back to how it was. Ah well. We have plenty of dog-food and the horses are well, well-fed and happy.
Drat. Tiddly-pom.

What makes 1 mad are the ones that are not honest, and get away with it!!! I like to like by the philosophy that it is easier to beg for forgiveness, then to ask permission!!!

I did contemplate not declaring it. But.
I suspect it was more 'fear of consequences' rather than innate honesty.
