Oh Tee I agree, I just never really liked him much. Saw something on FB and forgot to click on it( I do that a lot forgetting ) I hope it will be someone a bit older and more mature, after all he is 900+ years old. Not just another actor.

Well, Tennant WAS a hard act to follow but the producers could have tried MUCH harder to find a better actor than Smith, in fact, they didn't have to try that hard. Off the top of my head: Linus Roache, Jamie Bamford, Lawrence Fox, Colin Buchanan - we NEED another blond doctor or if you prefer dark haired, they can make Chris Gascoyne an offer he can't refuse, or Rob James-Collier, even Bradley Walsh isn't out of it for age if they go back to the days of Hartnell, Troughton and Pertwee as they were not young men when they were the Doctor. Oddly, I have heard bandied about Helen Mirran as the first female Doctor and a couple of other names that I will look up and post back with. Personally, I think either James-Collier (I'm a sucker for dark hair and blue eyes) or Linus Roache wopuld make great doctors, Roache in particular since he has been acting from age 6. Would have suggested John Simm but he makes occassional appearances as The Master.
