She beats the lacey pants off all the little Pageant Queens! She still loves her sister though her sister can't stop screaming since she was 'whopped by lightning'.

Quite right - a train-wreck. They have captions on-screen here, because we can't understand a word she shrieks. I understand she's washing her hair in 'buddr' this week.
What's Broadchurch?

Broadchurch is a mini-series with David Tennant....promo looks good although Tennant is using his real accent so it might be a tad hard for me to understand.

Ah. David Tennant. You'll understand him. He's just Lowland Scots. I grew up that way, outside Edinburgh. My brother still sounds the same.
I've moved through many accents (including Canadian) - now I just sound 'English'. David Tennant is from Glasgow. But he has learned to speak 'posh'!

Awww! Sugar Bear just proposed to June. He turned his turkey-frier into the pawn shop and Boo-Boo helped him pick the ring. All the girls are waiting in the kitchen to see if she says 'Yes'.
We all need to wait in the kitchen until some good man trades in his turkey-frier for us.

Brooks - keep an close eye on your listings, i think it starts this weekend.
Bara - that spot is where I caught a minute on the channel zap during commercials. All I could think was 'Now THAT's disgusting and stupid letting your kid pick the ring' and went to the weather channel for a few minutes.

Yeah, yeah, Tee - I don't watch it either -
'Picking the ring..' NOT that its tacky getting your engagement ring from a pawn shop, in exchange for a deep-fat fryer... They're all going to starve now that they can't fry anything!
I'm also hooked on 'Breaking Amish'. When we lived in the Fraser Valley, we were surrounded by ... hmm, what were they? 'Dukhabours'? No, that spelling is wrong, but you'll know who I mean - Their means of 'peaceful protest' was to 'moon' at the police. I never actually witnessed it, I'm pleased to say.
They wouldn't allow their kids to attend our school. I think there was a Mennonite community, too.
Dr David T is all over our TV in various commercials, notably with Richard Branson, promoting Virgin. How nice to be able to pick up a couple of hundred thou for the odd day of work.

Those were Hutterites and they have their own school right on the colony yard. Honestly, I don't know a lot about them even if there is a colony close by - they lie pretty low. They DO have electricity, trucks, Hummers and impressive amounts of machinery. They are also allowed to have radio, TV and computers (office and school only) in more progressive colonies. Mennonites are a different animal entirely - there are several living around here and they can go get a real job if they so wish - no shunning, etc. Local Co-op nearly had a Mennonite manager. They also have no problems with entering politics - son of the above mentioned man ran for mayor of Regina last election.
Ya know, my cousin took his fiancee to Gold and Silver Pawn in Vegas for their wedding rings before the place got famous. They ended up with some pretty fancy stuff.
I know what you mean and I can't spell it either - they were Russian royalists running from the revolution and landed here about the same time Nicholas (( was killed and after as they ran. Some were also members of the royal army on the run.

No ipad, so no watching. Just as long as you know they are a minority an America and not the norm. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
