... Country music flowed out and Tee and Big John trundled out, Jack-the-cat was driving.
"Adcooper's trying to find a parking space for the Jag," said Tee. "She's been round the block a few times .."
Everyone looked shocked!
"...looking for a parking space," explained Tee. She parked her tractor by the lifts ... err ... elevators.
"It feels really weird," she complained. "Umm, that's heat" explained Niaru. Tee looked puzzled.
Brooks wheeled along the corridor. "Did you bring the...?"

Oh, I thought we were at Pam's place. We had to get Niaru away from the Statue of Liberty - they were gossiping in French.
"We need to pick up Welkin," said Brooks, to no-one in particular.
(We probably need a 'Continuity' person. But said person would probably fall on their sword after a couple of pages.)

hehehehe
this is too good.
"Calling Welkin" said the loud speaker by the Statue of Liberty. Everyone turned to look at Brooks who was smiling broadly. "I can project my voice anywhere I want to" said Brooks, "Welkin should be here shortly."
Ann finally found a parking spot at the library and was walking through the doors and exclaimed,......................................

... and exclaimed, :Why is it all these big city libraries and/or art places have lions in front of them?" While Jack the Cat was quite fascinated with the lion sculpture and wondered if they'd do one of him... Niaru in the meantime found a place with jockey statues in front of it... Zen popped into the Mexican restaurant for La Bohemia and some Flautas when... (and yes, I'm enjoying being able to bring some pictures to the story. )

I just want us to gather back up again and get to Pam's farm, I thought Terrie had remember the right spell but....... " Brooks whispered to Bara. For slowly, astonishingly, the Library Lions began to move. Just their noses at first, twitching at the delectable aroma of Mexican cuisine and beer wafting from Yvette's doggie bag. Then their tails, flicking briefly side to side. And suddenly the great cats were on their feet, stretching and preening. Patience dropped gently to the staircase. Fortitude wound his way around a pillar and reclined in the middle of the entry, where several exracers tripped over his tail and a security guard (it was her first day on the job) fainted.

.."and where's Welkin, anyway?" thought Niaru, "and what's this Farm business. Are we going to the farmer's market? in New York? Hmmmm I need a Provence spell for that. Lessee," She stepped over Patience and entered the Library.
- "Lexielou!" screamed Bara. "Leave Fortitude's tail alone! Let's not test him, let's not!"
Ann decided to follow Yvette, who was walking away speaking of Greek Spaghetti. Brooks shot Bara a helpless look. Goalie came up to her and said...

" I remember" and with that Goalie pulled out a magic golden wand and started to sway back and forth. Her lips were moving, but no one could hear what she was saying. Suddenly there was a tremendous crash and the entire front wall of the library shifted away from the rest of the building. It was slowly exposing a secret pathway. Bara turned to Brooks and said................

"Way to go Terrie" !!!!!! She had completely forgotten the the secret house was here in NY and it would be perfect for the "gang" to stay. She also knew the house has more magical powers the just being invisible. Oh and all those wonderful House Elfs. Top of the house had been modified to accommodate the Dragons.
As the house unfolded and secret spells was used to open the door they were all so glad to have a safe place to stay for free. The Dragons all found the perches in the upper floors. "Ooooo at last someone has come, we need your help " said one of the Elfs. "We are having problems with.....................

Owls. They followed Zen Rider from Chicago. They say there's some kind of library animal convention going on here. They insist that the lions had reservations, and the secret house behind the secret passageway will be, unfortunately, unavailable to exracers at this time. Unless, of course, the exracers happen to be accompanied by a library horse or two.

Jus then a Sea Nymph Riding a Sea Horse arrived from the Library of Congress. You don't get better credentials than that. "Follow me!" cried the nymph! "The heck with you!" replied the sea horse. But with much magnificence and splashing, the assembled group made their way into the secret house. Brooks sighed with relief, feeling that she was home at last. Several house elves scurried to obey her every command, the first one being...

"Dobby Jr. it is so good to see you again, can you take me to my room please ?" requested Brooks Brooks also loved being here she had her own room, cozy and warm and oh so soft. Dobby Jr. open the door and it was truly home again. Large round windows to look out and soft colors on the walls. And the bed was a dream come true, big and soft and just her size. She bailed out on to it with a huge sigh of relief. At last some rest. She'd lay and read for a while. " Dobby Jr please tell the other I am here laying down if they want me. And could I please have some sparkling water with ice ?" "With pleasure Miss Brooks" said the little elf with a high pitch squeak.
Meanwhile Bara had gone missing again, they had not heard from for days and no amount of magic could reach her. Goalie and Niaru were pacing the long hall bumping into one another trying to figure where she could have gone this time.
Ann meanwhile trying to locate Welkin and sending a (real) owl to Pam telling her of short delay.
Suddenly Brooks' door opened with a great crash and........................................

...Bara, Forry, Edgie, Lexie, Boo and Joe were revealed, sitting in Cyber-space, toying with Fortitude's tail. The lion was losing patience. Patience looked surprised, she was enjoying playing with the horses and dogs.
Bara sighed. Her laptop had died. Though she could see Brooks, the lions, the sea-nymph and the others, she and her animals were in Cyber-Limbo.
Lexie, wearing mad-scientist goggles, was tinkering with their old, steam-driven, home computer ..
There was a loud FLASH-BANG! For a moment, the Ex-racers saw the Shetland contingent - and then they were gone... and so was the owl...and so was the nymph.. Bara was frantically trying to cover the nymph with a towel which read 'Don't Panic!'
"Lexie!" Lisa called. But the portal had closed.
(Doo-doo-doo-doo..)

"This can't be happening again" screamed Goalie as she ran to where the door had been. She frantically tried to pry it back open with just her fingers. Alas it wouldn't move. She turned to niaru and exclaimed, "See, I just knew somehow we would have to get Bara back here in the secret house asap." They both started to look around and saw a tiny door right next to where the portal had been. Right in front of their eyes it started to open and a figure was slowly emerging..................
