I just put a few pictures up from my Yellowstone trip. I made the album public, so could someone let me know if you guys can see them? I will keep adding to this album if any of you guys want to save the link to see more photos as I add them. Thanks! www.facebook.com/#!/johnnie.pierce/media_set?set=a.10201238228896146.1073741829.1184135915&type=1 Yellowstone 2013

Hmmm, having to go with the link isn't working, even when copying and pasting the whole link. So pictures aside, how was it? What did you manage to see? Did you go riding, rafting???

Well poo. When I click on the Yellowstone 2013 words, the link opens right up for me. I will work with it a bit and see what I can get to happen. The trip was great! We didn't actually do anything outside of hiking in the park and taking photographs. There was just way too much to do and see to think about side trips. When we have longer, we will do the side trip thing. We didn't make it out to Yellowstone Lake, but I think we saw all the other areas. Saw lots of elk and buffalo, but also a coyote, trumpeter swans, ducks, ground squirrels, and pronghorn. No bear or wolf this time, but we just didn't make it to the park early enough in the morning for those. Oh, and the bugs weren't bad at all. I have one ant bite from when I was trying to stalk pronghorn, a mosquito bite while trying to get a decent sunset picture, and on the last day, on our way out, I ran into a few chiggers while photographing some enormous elk bulls. Mosquitoes weren't bad at all, which surprised me.

Fabulous! Personally, I have a connection with the dragonfly. Long old story. But I'd like to meet the scruffy thing = whatever it is!

My boyfriend is the one that saw the dragonfly and he HAD to have a picture. I took about 4-5 different ones of it altogether, and I'm so happy with how it turned out.
The scruffy thing is a baby buffalo..lol. His mother was nearby and not very happy with people ogling her baby, but then she was the one that brought him near the overlook. I have some photos of them together that I will try and post later. I took over 700 photos, so it's a bit daunting going through them.

Thanks guys. If you are on Facebook, I'm still adding photos, so add me if you want to see more. Johnnie Pierce =)
I love the scruffalo name!!
Zen, my dslr is older now, so don't feel you have to get a new one. There are tons that are older models but make good quality photos and they can be had for great prices. I actually bought mine after it has been discontinued (was still new) for a great price with 2 lenses.
