AND OXBOW WINS!!!! i was going with mylute and itsmyluckyday. ALMOST. i wanted rosie to be the first woman to win. next year. imld is a PA horse. didn't SEE the race. listened on HRRN online. have to watch he replay on BH. no triple crown this year  |

really have to give gary stevens a lot of credit. coming back at 50 after 7 years out of the saddle. good for him ;D

Yeah, good thing I didn't bet the race. Really thought Orb had a chance, though I really didn't like his post position for how he likes to run. Too easy to get trapped, though I don't think that was all of it. Didn't really think Will Take Charge would do well, just think he's cute. I think he'd make a cuter eventer. Am happy for Gary Stevens. He's one of my old time favorite jockeys. |

Oxbow is a good looking colt!!! Anyone know what color he is? Roan maybe? First time I picked a winner cause of his looks! lol

I wonder what happened to Orb? At one point he was 3rd and then just faded away. Too bad, no hope for a Triple Crown winner, yet again!
Oxbow is gorgeous! And what a race he had. I also wonder why Gary Stevens stopped racing 7 years ago and why he came back? I like him, too, I caught part of his interview before the race, with Mike Smith.
When I saw Orb was done for I was rooting for Mylute. 3rd place, not too shabby!

Oxbow is listed as a bay. I thought he might have been recently clipped-know how bays look a bit mousy-colored after a fresh clip?
Love his pedigree-not one you see too much.

Read an article on Gary Stevens and he retired largely because of shoulder and knee issues. I guess 7 years off helped a lot of those issues. He really enjoyed acting, but didn't want to just be a jockey in every movie. Other then that, I think he may have just got bored too.
Should be an interesting Belmont.
As for Orb, he started moving then got closed out. Took him a while to find his stride again and ran out of room. Even so, he didn't really seem to be quite all there. Plus Gary managed to get some easy fractions and save a lot of horse for the stretch.
