The high winds have completely mess up my flower pots on the deck. Two fell over and one fell off upside down

We don't have this high wind very often but I think I should rethink how I place them. Maybe not so high up.

Our temps have dropped twenty degrees and we have had high (45-60 MPH) winds. Which fanned several fires around the LA area.

Looks like more wind today too. We had a great local weather reporter for awhile on a local station but they replaced her with an idiot, always smiling and never getting it right Now I have to look out the window and guess

And now there is ANOTHER GOPHER IN THE LAWN Where's my gun ??

Welcome to my world, Brooks and shoot the weather liar on the only local TV station that gives weather right now, he is also an idiot and mostly wrong.

If you want to keep a container garden in high winds, you need heavy containers or have to weight them with rocks. The other solution is a wooden box attached to your deck that will hold as many pots as you wish in each location; that way you can have a single pot on a corner or a whole row along a side. OR Lois' solution - monster pots that hold so much dirt you about need a crane to move them........

More high winds yesterday and another pot with plant upside down. Have taken all plant off the railing and put them on the floor for now. Sure hope we don't have another windy summer.
