OK, some of us would like to see it as a contest between 4 year olds, but well, who are your picks? I like Orb and Frac Daddy. OK, not their names, but the horses. OK and for a trifecta can't help but like the sabino Will Take Charge for his kissable white nose. Yeah, probably why I'm lucky to break even most days when I've gone to the track. ;D

No idea who to favor. I just watch for the spectacle and usually spot one that looks especially magnificent on the way to the gate. A friend who follows racing closely likes Revolutionary, Orb and Java's War. Her dark horse picks are Mylute and Normandy Invasion, but didn't one of those drop out already?

Aarrgh I have to stop inviting (non-horsey) people for dinner on Derby night! Oh well. I'll watch the race on YouTube afterwards. *sigh*

Claire, you can ask them to watch! It only takes a few moments. Consider it part of your hospitality.

It was a great race. My prerace method had me favoring Revolutionary, but Orb was just terrific.

Yeah was watching the race and saw him coming up the middle of the track and knew he was going to win. Just didn't know who he was. Almost thought the one horse was going to run into him for a moment. Orb came from running 16th to win! Wow! I think my other two are still running.
