Well, we are back to spring here. Cool and wet, but we were in the 80's F for a couple of days. Oddly, I like cool and wet better this time of year...

Temps rose yesterday to around 60 and now i got water. I figure, if the weather liar's prediction of temps in the 70s tomorrow, I SHOULD be able to check the fence for damage and get Rambo outisde.
He was a bad boy yesterday and kicked the bucket!! His nice, purple monster bucket now has a hoof shaped hole in it..........WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! it was only about 4 months old and now is useless

Well, I'm glad he just kicked a purple water bucket and didn't really "kick the bucket"!

Well, the one giant snowbank has gone down enough that I spent half the afternoon fixing fence and what seemed like the other half convincing Bucket Killer.......er Rambo that the remnants of said snowbank will not eat the horse. He is only in one corral - don't want to let him into the south side yet as I would like the grass to get some growth on it and I do have to replace a post that the rats with antlers busted off. Yep, poor Rambo spooked at the danged snowbank. He trotted out the door about three steps then skidded to a halt, with his front feet touching the snow, which produced a look of horror and a leap backwards. Dumb bugger wouldn't let me catch him (he had the advantage with four feet in that slick mud) but I managed to get behind him and herd him north until he could see a way out of the horrible white horse-eating trap. Slowly wandered towards the water, keeping a close watch on that snow, took a little drink, moved on, drank another couple of swallows, repeated it a few times, then decided the water would taste better if he stirred up the mud..........BLECH!!! What IS it with cats and horses that makes them not drink clean water but suck up slough water and do it happily?? He found the half bale of hay I shoved in for him, and is now happily stuffing his face. Half a bale here is around 800 pounds
