This video link is going around on Facebook and I know that many of you aren't on Facebook, so I thought I would post it here. The video is a campaign by Dove (the soap people). In the video women are sent in a room and told to describe themselves to a person on the other side of a partition. The person on the other side is an FBI sketch artist. He draws them how they describe themselves. Later, someone, who the women were told to chat with, goes in and describes the women to the sketch artist. At the end, the women are brought in to compare the sketches. The difference is pretty incredible. I found it very moving and could have easily shed a tear if I wasn't at work. www.multivu.com/mnr/61286-dove-real-beauty-sketches-short-film-documentary-women-self-image

I know!! I started tearing up and thought "I'm at work, pull this together girl!" and stopped myself. It was so moving to me in a "this is how much we all devalue ourselves" sort of way. We all do it.

It is interesting. Wonder what the results would have been if they did that with men?
