This article from Thoroughbred Times makes me happy. Her owners are doing the right thing IMO, by retiring her and not taking a chance that she could get hurt and have her career end in disaster instead of the life of ease and luxury she deserves. She holds so many records already, there's really nothing more for her to do except possibly make some mini-Black Caviars. Happy Retirement girl. It's been a great honor following your career.

Black Caviar (Aus) (Bel Esprit {Aus}) has been retired following her 25th career success from as many starts in Saturday's G1 TJ Smith S. at Randwick. Taking her amazing earnings tally to A$7,953,936 in that six-furlong contest, in which she was becoming the first to win twice, the six-year-old was signing off a four-year campaign during which long-established records fell with ease. Randwick was witnessing her 15th Group I win, which exceeded the prior record of Kingston Town and her eighth top-level score in succession, another first. Trainer Peter Moody, who brilliantly orchestrated the career of the mare affectionately known as "Nelly", said in a new conference today, "The owners and myself have had a long chat over the last couple of days before deciding this afternoon at lunchtime. We decided 25 was a great number and we thought she did us all proud on Saturday. Collectively, we decided that the mare is in great shape. We thought long and hard about racing her on for another season. We thought about Ascot, we thought about Brisbane and we thought about Adelaide but we believe at the end of the day, she’s done everything, could possibly have done no more and it’s the right time to call it a day in the career of arguably one of the finest horses we have ever seen."
Managing-part owner Neil Werrett revealed that the decision as to which stallion she would be sent to would be made tomorrow, but that it was unlikely to be Frankel this year."
