Ok some of you (if your on my FB) know Moose has been compeing in our local papers "cutest" contest. Well till now it was a "for fun" deal just no biggie no prizes etc. Well the anty has been "upped" two local stores will be donating $200 gift certificates to the winner. Both are places that are full service stores and while Moose is young he recognizes that this will "save" mom n dad some expenses coming up so perhaps if he wins we should "pay it forward" since we are lucky to have "enough" sure we aren't "well off" by any means but we can pay the bills and feed the critters and right now so many need a little extra....
So since Moose is a well traveled pup coming to Michigan from Texas last fall we think it only appropriate that if Moose wins the competition (and it will be tough no doubt about it he's behind this round while he won hands down the past few) that he will make a donation to Pilots n Paws that helped get a friends dalmation here to Michigan from Texas and another friends pittie mix to Canda for them. The pilots get dogs from low adoption areas to higher adoption areas, dogs with a home waiting to that home etc amazing group
Also in memory of a teacher who recently passed and who was a great supporter of rescue and animals we will sponsor the spay/neuter of several kitties at an upcoming spay/neuter event held in her honor for wild/barn kitties. (Moose loves his kitty friends).
We will also use the gift cards to make a donation to a local pet food banks and/or food banks that take pet supplies for those in need.
We feel all of these are amazingly worthy causes.. and no worries Moose won't be left out he has been promised his own moose antler chew from a local small business with great products (deer/elk/moose antler chews) at wonderful prices much better than the "box stores" Google Antler Art of Michigan online or on Facebook if you are looking for a fun new chew for your pets if you have questions call Terry at the shop and he will help personalize the order to your pets chewing style.
