Thanks all for your jingles. The barn in question lost another horse yesterday but there are no new reported cases, and their horses are starting to recover. Area barns (including my own) are all locking down and practicing good biosecurity. We have a bit more time to wait but hopefully we're out of the woods.

kaidensmom: Any stories or experience with a horse with strangles that is SOB? Gelding is currently hospitalized. On Penicillin and wasn't getting better so the vet just started horse on IV doses of DMSO. The abcesses are pharyngeal. Mar 13, 2017 22:41:03 GMT -5
